Hello. Ahoj.  Hola.  Bonjour.

I'm a regular Czech-born multi-lingual Australian with a not-so-regular obsession with languages and my field of work, UX.

I currently live in beautiful Sydney with my two dogs and amazing supportive partner. I have previously lived and worked in Madrid, Bilbao, Salamanca, Boston, Prague, and Brno. I love discovering the world and in the past 6 years, I have loved what I do for living (UX Design) which is quite rare. You might be wondering why?

Gallup’s global working study results stated that “Only 13% of the working population are psychologically committed to their jobs and likely to contribute positively to their organisations” - I’m definitely one of them!

I’m on a mission to deliver edge-cutting solutions that solve everyday problems. I do so through my life experience; learnings from previous projects; my gut; and most importantly, I constantly seek feedback

Why is feedback important? Here’s a little example. I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, formally Czechoslovakia under communist rule. Recently, the Czech government decided to rename the country to something that was easy to remember for tourists. The result was ‘Czechia’. Ask any 10 people in a room how they would pronounce this or when to use it, and each person would give you a different answer (or confuse it with Chechnya). The Czech government clearly did not test their new ‘tourist-friendly’ name with real tourists. Feedback matters in all situations.

Fun fact: I speak English, Czech, Spanish, French

So what do the UX and my languages
have in common?

French is like the
Discovery Phase
filled with Complexity
& Concealed Meanings.

Czech is like the
Root cause problem
Czechs are known
for finding
a problem in anything!

Australian is like
the Solution
Simple, Non-Fussy,
Intuitive, and Easy
to Understand.

Spanish is like the
User testing
Quick with lots of interpretations
and hidden patterns.
